Interactive Meet on Economy and Business Opportunities in South Africa


Trade between India and South Africa has a long and distinguished history. India and South Africa share a number of similarities and common characteristics. India and South Africa are regional powers, bordering on the Indian Ocean. Both countries are strategically located in terms of influencing events in the region and have shared interests. There is substantial potential for trade growth between the two countries. Exports from India to South Africa include vehicles and components thereof, transport equipment, drugs and pharmaceuticals, engineering goods, footwear, dyes and intermediates, chemicals, textiles, rice, gems and jewellery, etc. Import from South Africa to India include gold, steam coal, copper ores & concentrates, phosphoric acid, manganese ore, aluminum ingots & other minerals. To take advantage of the enormous potential that exists, Federation of Telangana and AndhraPradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry-FTAPCCI is organizing an Interactive Meeting Economy and Business Opportunities in South Africa 17th May, 2017 at 5.30 p.m. at Federation House, Red Hills, Hyderabad. Mr.Phillip Mtsweni, Consul: Economic, South African Consulate General, Mumbai has kindly consented to address the meeting.

The meeting is aimed at creating awareness about business opportunities and promoting trade and investment partnerships between India and South Africa. Members are requested to kindly participate in the meeting and join us at Hi-Tea.
